Local Governments Start Closing Offices, Limiting Operations Over Coronavirus Concerns

More local government offices are temporarily closing to try to help slow the spread of the coronavirus.

Washtenaw County’s administrator has announced all of the county government’s non-essential operations will be closed through April 5th.

All Washtenaw County Trial and District Court operations will also be severely limited through the end of March.

The County’s Board of Commissioners is also canceling its regularly scheduled public meeting this Thursday, March 19.

The City of Ypsilanti’s administrative buildings will close until March 22.

The City of Ann Arbor has closed its administrative buildings until April.

Pittsfield Township is closing its offices until further notice.

Ypsilanti Township’s offices will remain open, but residents are encouraged to contact staff by phone or email instead.
