With coronavirus shutting down schools, there are many worried about the children that rely on the free meals provided them during the school day.  As 89.1 WEMU’s David Fair reports, Ann Arbor Public Schools is working to alleviate those concerns.

The Ann Arbor Public Schools will be dropping off food for those children at 11 different locations, today, Tuesday, and Friday of this week.  District spokesperson Andrew Cluleysays the following.

"Pick-ups will be scheduled from 11 AM to 12:30 PM. For families who can't access these locations or have allergy concerns, please call our food hotline at 734-994-2265."

Cluley says Chartwells, Durham Transportation, and the Ann Arbor Police are helping with the food drop-offs and a good number of local businesses, non-profits, and community originations are helping in the effort.
