Washtenaw County officials are considering allocating additional funding for COVID-19 response.
The Washtenaw County Board of Commissionerswill meet virtually tonight and discuss a $3.2 million resolution that would help address the pandemic in our county. Commissioner Andy LaBarre says that figure represents what the county currently believes the response will cost.
"Much of it will be used for health purposes through our health department"
Funds would also be used to pay for cleaning services for county owned facilities. The board approved $250,000 in response funding last month when it declared a state of emergency because of the pandemic.
