AAPS Board Discussing Next Steps In Wake Of COVID-19
The Ann Arbor Public Schools Board of Education will meet tonightto discuss the next steps the district will take regarding COVID-19.
That includes options the district will offer during the summer that would allow students to continue with their learning via virtual instruction. District spokesperson Andrew Cluleysays the district’s goal is to provide as much information as possible to parents during uncertain times.
"Students are going to need extra attention, not just this summer, but for the next couple of years probably to really capture some of the items that, not being in the schools right now, is leaving them needing some catch-up,"
The board is also expected to discuss options the district is considering when it comes to how they will handle instruction in the fall.
