City of Ypsilanti To Make Improvements To Frog Island Park

City of Ypsilanti

Ypsilanti’s city council will discuss making improvements to Frog Island Park tonight.

That includes working with DTE Energy to install lighting along the Border-to-Border trail in that area for safety purposes.  Mayor Beth Bashert says the current path at Frog Island will also get an upgrade as part of a project that’s being rolled out by Washtenaw County to make overall improvements to the Border-to-Border trail system.

Mayor Beth Bashert: We’re widening it, making it prettier, smoother and safer. And I think that’s going to add a lot of enjoyment to that park in our city.

Bashert says that by widening the trail, it will also allow residents to comply with COVID-19 social distancing guidelines.
