City Of Ann Arbor Says Voter Registration Satellite Office At U-M Was A Success

City of Ann Arbor

The City of Ann Arbor says the satellite voter registration office they opened at the University of Michigan’s Museum of ArtStenn Gallery was a success.

City Clerk Jackie Beaudry says more than 5,100 voters were registered at the museum between September 22nd and November 3rd.  The satellite office, which closed on Election Night, also had an absentee ballot drop-off box that collected over 8,500 ballots.

City Clerk Jackie Beaudry: It was right there where students are, for first time voters it wasn’t scary to go to city hall. It was just simple messaging, stop by, register, request a ballot and vote.

Beaudry says the city is interested in opening additional voter registration satellite offices at the University of Michigan prior to future elections.
