Join PCOS Challenge: The National Polycystic Ovary Syndrome Association as we host the Detroit PCOS Challenge 5K Run/Walk on Sunday, July 14, 2019, from 7:15 am to 12:15 pm at Lake St. Clair Metropark. This event is part of the country's largest national campaign raising awareness and funds to help fight polycystic ovary syndrome (PCOS). Funds raised will go toward critical PCOS education, support, health screening and research programs. PCOS affects up to 15% of women in the U.S. and hundreds of millions globally. It is one of the most critical, under-diagnosed, underfunded and neglected areas of health, which can lead to lifelong complications, infertility, type 2 diabetes, cardiovascular disease, cancer and other life-threatening conditions. By supporting the PCOS Challenge 5K Run Walk, you will become a champion for one of the most important issues affecting women’s health. Your support will make a huge difference in the lives of tens-of-thousands of women as proceeds from the PCOS Challenge race will go toward PCOS education and support programs, research, health screenings, grants, as well as increasing awareness and public support for those with the disorder.
