Rear Admiral (Ret.) Huan Nguyen, USN shares a powerful reflection on the American story through the intertwined experiences of his family’s escape from Vietnam, President Gerald Ford’s courageous leadership during the 1975 refugee crisis, and his own three decades of military service. He honors the compassion of ordinary Americans whose kindness helped his family rebuild their lives, and he recounts how that generosity inspired his commitment to serve the nation that welcomed them. The remarks offer a thoughtful reflection on what it means to belong, to serve, and to carry the American story forward.

The kid's dash is a fun, untimed dash for our kiddos ages 10 and under. Registration includes a mini bib, youth-sized shirt, and a specifically crafted medal for our kids' dash event! (If your child wants to run the kid's dash, and doesn't want the SWAG, they are welcome to run with us on race day for free!)

The Ann Arbor Summer Art Fair is the largest of the three official partner fairs that comprise the award-winning and highly respected Ann Arbor Art Fair. Roughly 400,000 people attend the event each year. The Summer Art Fair is located on Main Street in the heart of Ann Arbor as well as Liberty, State, and South University Streets, stretching from its charming downtown to the campus of the University of Michigan. It is run by The Guild of Artists & Artisans, a non-profit Artist Member Organization whose mission is to provide marketing opportunities to artists. It is the only show run by and for the artists. It is consistently ranked as one of the Top 100 Art Fairs in the Country.
