The "Brown Marmorated Stink Bug" is already in 36 states and in the District of Columbia. So far, it has made its way to 12-counties in the State of Michigan.
In 2010, in the Mid-Atlantic Region the bugs caused some 40-million dollars worth of crop and economic damage. And, be rest assured, you don't want these bugs to invade your home. It's name should tell you all you need to know about that! What can be done?

Overview
* The brown marmorated stink bug<http://www.ipm.msu.edu/invasive_species/brown_marmorated_stink_bug> (BMSB), Halyomorpha halys is a major nuisance pest of homeowners and a serious economic pest of many commercial crops.
* The stink bug was captured this fall (Sept 2013) at several new sites and appears to have become established in locations that are encroaching on Washtenaw County.
* It is one of handful of troublesome invasive insects including the emerald ash borer, Asian ladybug, and Asian tiger mosquito that have come to southeast Michigan.
