Marilyn Gouin
Donor Services ManagerMarilyn Gouin wears many hats at WEMU but her main responsibility is that of Donor Services Manager, making sure your pledge of support is processed and any requested premiums are sent. In addition, she is the staff photographer, volunteer coordinator, traffic manager, the station’s archivist, and unofficial manager of the business office. You have probably either spoken to her on the phone when calling in a pledge or have a question about a pledge or have seen her at a WEMU event with a camera in her hands.
Marilyn has been a member of the WEMU staff since 2010 but started her relationship with WEMU as a volunteer about 10 years before, answering phones during pledge drives and working on special events like the WEMU Mardi Gras parties.
Her life outside the station has included being on the Board of Directors of The Ann Arbor Blues and Jazz Festival and The Arbor Consort. She currently is a member of several advisory committees for The Dodworth Saxhorn Band, another local non-profit organization, and is their Uniform Manager. Marilyn is a long-time member of the University of Michigan Gilbert and Sullivan Society, serving as their Wardrobe Mistress, volunteer photographer and frequently as the costume designer for current productions.
Marilyn is a graduate of Eastern Michigan University.
