The former president and CEO of Ann Arbor Spark has a new position now-- finding jobs for the mostly unemployable.

Michael Finney, who was also an economic advisor to Governor Rick Snyder, was the keynote speaker at Monday's A2YChamber luncheon.  He talked about the new organization he now heads, "Community Ventures," helping to find jobs for people with little education and low job skills.

He said they've been successful at finding thousands of jobs for people in Detroit, Pontiac , Flint and Saginaw and says he's hopeful they will someday be expanding into Washtenaw County.

"Would you think about communities like this one, where you have an Ypsi/Ypsi Township with 41% poverty?"

He said finding jobs for people with little education and low job skills not only helps them become self-supportive but is good for the community as well.
