"Let's Have Some Church Detroit Style" will premiere at the Detroit Institute of Art at 4 p.m. on Sunday, March 22 as part of the Free Press Film Festival.
The 90-minute documentary chronicles the Hallelujah Singers, an all-star gospel choir in Detroit, as they live work and sing in Detroit and travel to a competition in Birmingham, Alabama. Lisa Barry interviewed Producer Andrew Sacks the leader of the Hallelujah Singers Dr. E. LaQuint Weaver for yesterday's All Things Considered.
