We're in the dog days of August, and we have the right amount of movie goodness to help you through it. After a week off, WEMU's David Fair reconnects with Michigan Theater Foundation executive director Russ Collins to chat about the latest films coming to the big screen this weekend, and what you'll have to do to get in to see them.

COVID-19 PROTOCOLS FOR MICHIGAN THEATER AND STATE THEATRE

Starting Friday, August 27, the State and Michigan Theaters will require all attendees over the age of 12 to provide proof of COVID-19 vaccination or a negative COVID-19 test taken within 72 hours before MTF-sponsored films and live events. Masks will also still be required at this time. We will check the temperatures of all attendees under the age and they will need to wear a mask at all times (e.g. no concessions for kids [bummer!]). We want the State and Michigan Theaters to be the safest most enjoyable places of diversion and enlightenment in the State of Michigan!
