The Washtenaw Intermediate School District is now reviewing “Distance Learning Plan” proposals that will determine how local students will learn from home for the rest of the school year.
WISD will need to approve plans presented by each school district during the coronavirus pandemic. Assistant Superintendent Naomi Norman says access to technology will play a major role in their decisions.
"Who might not have access for one reason or another. And how can we meet their very specific needs, and how do we do it in a really supportive way for that student and family"
Once approved, districts will decide when they want to start implementing their plans, but it has to be by April 28th.
