Ypsilanti District Library Expands Curbside Pickup Service During COVID-19

Ypsilanti District Library

The Ypsilanti District Library has expanded its curbside pickup service during COVID-19.

In addition to its Whittaker location, the library is now also offering curbside pickup service at its Michigan Avenue branch Monday through Saturday.  Patrons can reserve books and other materials on the library’s website or by phone, and pick them up in the parking lot of the library.  Branch Manager Joy Cichewicz says that while the Superior Township branchdoes not have a curbside service, it does offer a 24-hour locker pickup service.

Joy Cichewicz: They’ll get sent a password or the seven digits of their library card number, and they can open the door of that particular locker and get in and get their stuff.

The Ypsilanti District Library is also allowing patrons to submit word documents through their website, so they can be printed for free and available for pickup through the curbside or locker service.
