The Ann Arbor school district has identified the six semi-finalists to be the district's next superintendent, and a couple of them are local.
Dr. Henry Hastings is a full-time instructor at Eastern Michigan University, and Dr. Benjamin Edmondson is principal of Ann Arbor's Roberto Clemente High School.
Also making the list are: Dr. Richard Faidley, superintendent of the Derry Township School District in Hershey, Pennsylvania; Dr. Sandra Harris, retired superintendent of Michigan's Oak Park School District; Dr. Brian G. Osborne, Superintendent of the South Orange-Maplewood School District in New Jersey; and Dr. Jeanice Kerr, Assistant Superintendent for Instruction, Curriculum and Student Services in the Colorado Springs, Colorado school district.
Interviews with the semi-finalists are scheduled for July 8th and 9th, with finalists interviewed July 15th and 16th.
The Ann Arbor school board plans to choose a new superintendent at a July 17th meeting.
