Eastern Michigan University's 'Math Facts Challenge' Draws Over 400 Students
400 students from a dozen schools came to Eastern Michigan University's campus last Thursday for the second annual "Math facts challenge" sponsored by the EMU Charter schools office.

Winborne said the challenge is like a spelling bee, but only with math problems. The goal of the event was to inspire elementary and middle school students to get excited about math.
