It's National Crime Victims' Rights Week, and Washtenaw County is doing its part to help out.
Three thousand victims are helped annually through the Washtenaw County prosecuting attorney's office. Brenda Quiet, who is the victim witness director, says they are available to help year-round. Once a case goes through the system, victims have a right to be notified about the process, contact the prosecutor and stay informed about the case.

A candlelight vigil will be held on Wednesday, April 13th at 6:00 PM at the Capitol Building in Lansing to honor all crimevictims.
