The field of finalists for Washtenaw County administrator has been narrowed down to four, and there are now two people in the running for another county position.

Washtenaw County commissioners plan to talk to four finalists to fill the vacant administrator's job and, if they agree, could finally fill the vacant position at their next meeting on October 19th.

Verna McDaniel stepped down from the position in May of 2015.  You can see more about the candidates here.

The board of commissioners narrowed down the field of candidates for the new director of the county's Office of Community and Economic Development to two candidates but won't make the final choice until a new county administrator is in place.

The two finalists include former county commissioner Conan Smith, who stepped down from the board to apply for the position, and Andrea Plevek, who is now the interim OCED director.
