This week on Art & Soul, I am joined by local arts blogger and journalist Jen McKee to talk about performing arts in our community.
We discuss what is happening in the theater scene, including shows such as Brian Cox’s Clutter and the Encore Musical Theatre Company’s developmental premiere Into The Wild.
Eastern Michigan University’s theater department will be performing Spring Awakening at the end of March and beginning of April.

In the world of music, The Comic Opera Guild will be putting on a show called The Free Lance and will be performing at the Washtenaw Community College Morris Lawrence building on April 2. The Ann Arbor Symphony Orchestra and the Platypus Theatre will be performing Peter and The Wolf on April 9 at the Michigan Theater.
The Fab Faux, a critically acclaimed Beatles tribute band, will be performing at the Michigan Theater on April 22.
Documentary film maker Ken Burns will be speaking at the Michigan Theater on April 19. Author Elizabeth Kostova will be at Nicola’s Books on April 17 to discuss her latest novel.
