Gretchen Driskell Explains Platform For New Congressional Run

The former mayor of Saline and two-term State Representative Gretchen Driskell formally announced Wednesday she is running for Congress again in 2018.  She's running for the 7thCongressional District seat against incumbent TimWahlberg.  89.1 WEMU'S Lisa Barry spoke to Driskell about her campaign announcement.

Driskell ran against Wahlberg last fall and lost, but says she's been talking to residents in the district and feels they still want change.

Driskell says affordable health care and the environment are two of the issues she will be focusing on in the next 16 months of campaigning.
