For nearly 80 years, the Ann Arbor Potters Guild has been serving the needs and interests of some of the community's most creative people. And, those artists have been serving the Guild. It is a cooperative model that is being copied around the country because of its ongoing success. In this week's 'creative:impact,' Maki Lin shares the story of how the Guild is set up and built to last.

Artist Statement:
Making pots that are useful as well as aesthetically pleasing is very satisfying to me. I like to make forms that are typically simple in design with a glaze surface that is fluid with movement. The result of overlapping glazes often provides surprising and beautiful results. I like to see my pots that can be used on a daily basis and also enhance the living environment they occupy.
