With the passing of the Queen of Soul, Aretha Franklin, a lot of people are grieving and sharing memories of her life changing music and career.
89.1 WEMU's Lisa Barry spoke to Kali Thiel, director of news and publications for Concordia University in Ann Arbor, where one of Aretha's prized concert pianos is located.
The video is of Jim King of King's Keyboard House in Ann Arbor accompanying Concordia students on Aretha Franklin's piano.
Barry reminisces about seeing Franklin perform at Hill Auditorium in Ann Arbor as part of the Summer Festival nearly two decades ago. Thiel shares that the piano is part of the University's arts program and is actively used and can be seen by anyone interested on the Ann Arbor campus.
