Ann Arbor Area Community Foundation CEO Neel Hajra says they have over a dozen different grant programs serving every aspect of the community.

The foundation's annual community meeting is coming up on Monday, May 6, which is open to the public starting at 5:30 at the Morris Lawrence building on the Washtenaw Community College campus.  You can RSVP on the foundation's website, but that is not necessary to attend.

Hajra says hundreds of people who really care about the community typically attend.  The event includes a community conversation that begins around 7 PM, including what’s going on and what they’re trying to do about it.

The foundation is planning to make a big community announcement at the meeting.  After 55 years, the foundation will be introducing an entirely new way for them to use the capital that they steward to make a positive difference in the lives of the people in the community.
