This week on “Beyond Books,” WEMU's Lisa Barry talks with Rich Retyi and Sara Wedell of the Ann Arbor District Library about a popular community event they sponsor known as “Nerd Nite.”
Sara always tells the Nerd Nite origin story to open each month's event. Nerd Nite has been a monthly staple since 2003—held in more than 100 cities around the globe... and the AADL has become more and more involved with the event to the point where staff like Sara run the evening completely now.
Three speakers, 18-21 minutes. Fun, informative, amazing, nerdy talks.
The Ann Arbor version of Nerd Nite will host its 67th evening on Thursday, August 15 at 7pm LIVE.
