On our next segment, WEMU's Lisa Barry talks with Rich Retyi and Jody Harnish of the Ann Arbor District Library about the upcoming "WAYZGOOSE" festival celebrating the art of printing.
Traditionally, a wayzgoose was an annual celebration put on by a master printer for his workmen. Nowadays, it’s a festival that celebrates the art and practice of printing by hand.
The 2019 Ann Arbor Wayzgoose & Printing Festival features some of the most exciting artists working in the field of printing today.

Visit the Ann Arbor Art Center's screen printing bike, Pedal Prints, and pull a limited edition Wayzgoose screen print! All ages are welcome but children will need to be accompanied by an adult.

Drop into the Secret Lab anytime between 1pm-4pm to create your own prints! Bind and letterpress decorate a spiral notebook, print a special Wayzgoose bookmark, and screen print with Modati Studios.
