As the coronavirus crisis continues, the University of Michigan has started working on its plan for a safe fall semester.
U of M officials announced this week they have formed several new committees to help develop a comprehensive, health-focused strategy to determine what kinds of programs and academic efforts can safely proceed this fall.
U of M President Mark Schlissel has issued a statement saying they are looking at a wide range of issues and are still in the early stages of the process.
But, he adds he is “cautiously optimistic” that they will be able to deliver “as much in-person instruction as possible” on all three of the university’s campuses.
