New Report Outlines Evidence Of Sexual Misconduct By Former UM Provost

University of Michigan

A new reportsays there is “significant evidence” that former University of Michigan Provost Martin Philbert committed sexual misconduct and violated U of M’s Sexual Harassment policy.

The 94-page report was released today and details the findings from a months-long independent investigation into Philbert’s conduct during his 25 years at the university.

U of M officials declined our request for comment but did issue a statement saying it contains “a shocking description of improper and unacceptable behavior by a university officer as well as failings by this institution.”

They go on to state they will do everything in their power to prevent such misconduct from ever happening again at the University of Michigan.
