Results: Michigan State Representative Primary Races

The November general election races for those seeking election to the State House of Representatives from Washtenaw County have taken shape.

Greg Marquis won the Republican primary race in the 52nd District over Melanie Weidmayer, garnering 54-percent of the vote.  He'll challenge incumbent Democrat Donna Lasinski in November.

Incumbent Yousef Rabhi won his Democratic primary race in the 53rd district in runaway fashion.  Rabhi pulled in over 91-percent of the vote in his race with Sam Larson.  Rabhi will be challenged by Republican Jean Holland in November.

In the 54th District, Incumbent Democrat Ronnie Peterson was unopposed in the primary and will be challenged by Republican Martin Church in November.

Rebekah Warren is the sitting 55th District state representative, but she is term-limited and may not seek reelection.  Current Washtenaw County Commissioner Felicia Brabec received more than 87-percent of the vote in her Democratic primary race with Stephen Kurant on Tuesday.  Brabec will face Republican Bob Baird in the November general election.
