U-M To Host Weekly COVID-19 Video Briefings

University of Michigan

Starting October 2nd, the University of Michigan will hold weekly COVID-19 video briefings.

University President Mark Schlissel and other members of his leadership team will provide the campus community with news and information related to the pandemic.  University spokesperson Rick Fitzgerald says students, faculty, and staff will have an opportunity to submit questions or concerns ahead of the briefings by clicking on a link that will be emailed to them on a weekly basis.

Rick Fitzgerald: We are going to try to be specifically reactive to the questions that were getting from the community, but it could be, we know there’s interest in as we continue to evolve our protocols for the surveillance testing on campus and expand those opportunities.

The briefings will be held every Friday at 1 pm and will be available for live viewing to students, faculty, and staff.  A recorded version of the briefing will then be posted on the Campus Maize and Blueprint website for the general public to view.
