Police are investigating reports of shots being fired at the Briarwood Mall in Ann Arbor.
The police have issued a statement saying there is NO ACTIVE SHOOTER situation at Briarwood Mall, but the mall is closed while they conduct their investigation.
Officers are investigating a report of shots fired at @Briarwood mall. At this time there IS NOT an active shooter and we ask people to avoid the area of the mall while the investigation is in progress.

Police are continuing their search for the suspect involved in a shooting that occurred at the Briarwood Mall in Ann Arbor earlier today. The mall is currently closed to the public while law enforcement officers conduct their investigation.
One individual was shot in the mall around 3 p.m. in what police are saying does not appear to be a random incident.
The victim was taken to University of Michigan Hospital system and is said to be in stable condition. WEMU News will update as the story develops.
