Book Talk: Unleashing Black Power
On Thursday, December 4, the Ypsilanti District Library Whittaker Branch will be hosting a conversation and book signing with Peter Blackmer, Associate Professor of Africology and African American Studies, about his new book Unleashing Black Power: Grassroots Organizing in Harlem and the Advent of the Long, Hot Summers. Black Stone Bookstore and Cultural Center will have copies of the book for sale. The event will run from 6:00-7:30pm.
