Ann Arbor's own Harlin “Duke” Newcomb will host The DOJO, an open mic hip-hop showcase featuring local soul and hip hop musician, Flwr.Chld at the Blind Pig. In true Dojo fashion, the one-and-only DJ Prophet Ecks will be holding us down on the 1s and 2s.

In the days before the COVID-19 pandemic, the DOJO was a monthly music event held every Third Thursday at the Elks Lodge in Ann Arbor, MI. After a long hiatus, the DOJO is BACK and hosted in a new space - the BLIND PIG!

The DOJO's mission is to host events where artists can exercise their skill set in a safe, positive, community-focused environment surrounded by like-minded individuals with similar drive and purpose. This monthly open mic event inspires creativity through Communication, Connection, and Correlation and is protected by the principles of the originators of Hip Hop through Peace, Love, Unity, and Safely Having Fun.
