Join us at Kerrytown Concert House for a candle-lit evening curated with unique and fun adaptations of holiday and everyday favorites performed by a mixed ensemble of some of Michigan’s finest musicians. Assembled and arranged by R. MacKenzie Lewis, this intimate evening will explore the many colors and personalities of the musical ensemble with reimagined arrangements of familiar holiday tunes.

Kerrytown Concert House is pleased to welcome the 4th edition of its annual Winter Solstice Celebration with Kathryn Goodson and Friends, featuring gentle lullabies, narration, and music of the season that will bring light, warmth and beauty to the longest winter night. Friends joining Kathryn this year include renowned spirituals specialist, baritone Robert Sims of Chicago, legendary tenor George Shirley, flutist Abigail Middaugh and cellist Thor Sigurdson. In addition to the spiritual “Hold Out Your Light,” arranged by Lena McLin, expect improvisations as well as works by composers such as Roland Hayes, Rachmaninoff, Schubert, Arvo Pärt, Ellen Rowe and more.
