Washtenaw County saw the average home value increase by nearly 6 percent this year. It marked the first time in years where every community in the county saw property assessments rise on average.
County Treasurer Catherine McClary hopes this is a gradual increase and not another bubble.
McClary also hopes the downward cycle of foreclosures, homes being underwater, and dropping property values is over.
