The City of Ann Arbor will reopen its compost facility this Saturday on Platt Road for drop-off and sales.
Residents will once again be able to drop off materials like grass, food waste, and branches up to six inches in diameter, but no plywood is accepted. In addition, residents will once again be able to purchase gardening and landscaping materials like woodchips and compost. Robert Kellar is a spokesperson for the city and says the reopening will help residents get back into the flow of using city services.
Robert Kellar: But also this helps, whether it's contractors or landscapers to help them get their businesses back and running as well.
The site will be open Monday through Saturday from 8 am until 4 pm.
