EMU Planning To Have Students Back On Campus For Fall

Eastern Michigan Universityreleased informationregarding its planning process for the Fall 2020 semester.

The university’s goal is to have in-person, on-campus operations wherever possible.  That includes classroom instruction, housing, and dining.  Geoff Larcom is a spokesperson for the university and says they want to offer the best possible educational experience for students.

"On-campus is a component of that. Obviously, the university is a vital place, an interactive place, a place of great growth and social development."

A Public Health Work Group will help the university identify health standards to resume on-campus operations.  Meanwhile, a steering committee that includes EMU President James Smith is leading the planning.
