Fiscal Year End: Will you help us get there?

WEMU Friends:

On June 30, WEMU will close another fiscal year, one that ranks among the most challenging in our 56 year history.

For the entire 12 month fiscal year, and the 3 months that preceded it, nothing was normal.  Remote workers.  An empty campus.  Strict distancing and masking protocols.  Fear, anxiety, and uncertainty about what would happen next.

And a complete flip in what WEMU needed to do to raise funds, with shorter fundraisers and fewer program interruptions so you could stay completely informed.

Thankfully, time and time again, WEMU listeners came through for us.  And now, at the end of our fiscal year, WEMU is only $100,000 away from reaching our ambitious $850,000 goal.

Will you help us get there?

Your gift makes it possible to bring you the news and information that has been so important over the last year; from the beginning of the pandemic, through a summer of civil unrest, to a contentious and controversial election and its violent aftermath.

Your gift makes it possible to present live and local music programs, curated especially for you and our community.

Your gift makes it possible for #teamwemu to channel the passion we have for independent, fact based journalism and hand selected jazz, blues, roots, and world music into a radio service that benefits our community in multiple ways.

We share a passion for quality and community with you.  And, with your help and commitment, we can keep it going for the next 12 months in which we all hope for a return to normal and a return to getting out in the community.   Our community.

And, with your gift of support, we will.  Please give today at wemu.org/donate

Thank you for being part of #teamwemu.

Stay well,

Mary (Molly) Motherwell
