The Ypsilanti Heritage Festival is happening this coming Friday through Sunday in Riverside Park and includes a wide range of activities from historic building tours to the annual duck drop.
Former Ypsilanti Mayor and festival committee member Cheryl Farmer explains the festival began in the late 70's...
There will be tours of Ypsilanti's historic freight house, which has been closed for several years for renovations.
Several historic Ypsilanti buildings will be available for tours over the weekend, and there will be two special presentations about Ypsilanti's African American history.
Of course, there are several musical acts, a food tent, and plenty of activities for the kids.
