Eastern Michigan University police officers are helping deliver meals for Ypsilanti Meals on Wheels.

Twenty officers at EMU have signed up to make deliveries during the coronavirus pandemic.  Lt. Diana Young says the organization reached out to them a couple of weeks ago and officers have delivered over 250 meals since then.

"Most officers go into this line of work because they want to help people, and this is just a wonderful opportunity for us to help the community"

The officers are delivering meals three times a week.
