April 20 is a day recreational users celebrate cannibis culture. Ann Arbor blues guitarist and singer Laith Al-Saadi celebrated with an early morning 4/20 concert, streaming live from his home. It came shortly after he learned he had been named the 2020 Detroit Music Awards "Best Blues Instrumentalist." Al-Saadi joined WEMU's David Fair about the life of a musician during a time of pandemic, his thoughts on marijuana culture, and the surprise of winning another award.
