Now that the "stay home stay safe" executive order has been extended by Governor Gretchen Whitmer to mid-May, many people may be having a difficult time dealing with the extended restrictions.

WEMU's Lisa Barry talks with Dr. Bob Quinn, professor emeritus of management and organizations and one of the co-founders of the Center for Positive Organizations at the Ross School of Business at the University of Michigan, who offers wise advice for dealing with what he called "the biggest event of our lifetime."

Dr. Bob Quinn says it is his personal life mission to "inspire positive change."  The University of Michigan professor and author of 18 books says now might be a good time to shift our focus from feeling the loss of the current global health crisis and use our time and energy to take a look at ourselves and see what we can do to make a difference in the world.

He says it's like a "reorientation," and we're going to come out of this global health crisis "and be in a new world," which gives us the opportunity to look at our own values and determine a worthy purpose.

Dr. Quinn is also hosting an online program called "Becoming Who You Are: How to Grow Yourself and Your Organization."  Click here for more information, and check out the video below.
