70 Percent Of Washtenaw County COVID-19 Patients Have Made Total Recovery

CDC

The number of Washtenaw County residents who have recovered from COVID-19 is growing.

According to the latest data from Washtenaw Health, 70 percent of the county’s confirmed coronavirus patients have made a complete recovery so far.

Washtenaw Health spokesperson Susan Cerniglia says patients are considered to be totally recovered if they have no signs of the disease for more than 72 hours, and it has been at least 10 days since they started showing symptoms.

“In Washtenaw County, we have nearly 900 people of our confirmed cases that fit that category,” Cerniglia says.

Cerniglia says the county has had more than 1,200 confirmed cases of the disease since the pandemic began, with roughly 30 percent of those resulting in hospitalization.
