Clerks Recommend To Hand Deliver Your Primary Election Absentee Ballots

Wiki Commons

Election clerks across Washtenaw County recommend hand delivery of absentee ballots to their offices if they have not been mailed yet for Tuesday's primary election.

Ann Arbor City Clerk Jackie Beaudry says absentee ballots must be received by 8 pm on election day, or they will not be counted.  She says in addition to returning ballots to the clerk’s office, dropboxes at City Hall are available to the public 24 hours a day.

City Clerk Jackie Beaudry: Postmarking it on Monday or Tuesday will not count. It has to actually reach us.

The City of Ypsilanti also has a dropbox outside of City Hall that’s available to the public 24 hours a day.
