City Of Ann Arbor Getting Closer To Hiring A New City Administrator

City of Ann Arbor

The City of Ann Arbor is one step closer to hiring a new city administrator.

Ten semi-finalists have been selected for consideration, and city council will host a special meeting Monday afternoon to narrow the search to three to five candidates.  Mayor Christopher Taylor says the finalists could be announced publicly Monday evening, if not Tuesday.

Mayor Christopher Taylor: There will be a series of meetings and interviews later in the month, I think August 20th or so. At that time, council will interview the various candidates.

City staff and members of the public will also get the opportunity to meet the candidates virtually.  Former City Administrator Howard Lazarus was fired by city council without cause in February.
