Some Washtenaw County School Districts Are Using School Buses This Fall

Wiki Commons

While not all school districts are offering school bus transportation this week as the new school year gets underway, five out of the nine districts that are part of the Washtenaw Intermediate School District will have service.

Ypsilanti, Saline, and Manchester are among the districts that are using school buses this fall.  WISD Spokesperson Ashley Kryscynskisays all students will have to wear face masks and use hand sanitizer when they get on the bus.  Kryscynski adds that districts will also have to make sure that buses are cleaned and disinfected before every route.

Ashley Kryscynski: We should see fewer routes just because we have fewer students that are going to be returning to in-person learning.

WISD recommends that parents monitor their child’s school district’s website and social media accounts to be updated on any possible changes made to their school bus system.
