Veterans For Peace Remember Fallen Michigan Military Members

Wiki Commons

The Veterans for Peace Chapter 93 is observing Veterans Day on Wednesday with a special display in Ann Arbor.

Two-hundred-thirty markers will be displayed from 11 a.m. until dusk at Veterans Park in Ann Arbor.  One marker for every Michigan soldier lost in the Iraq and Afghan wars.  Bob Krzewinski is the coordinator for Chapter 93 and says eight of those soldiers were from Washtenaw County.

Bob Krzewinski: And each marker has a name, a photo, the age when they died, the unit that they were from and where they lost their lives at.

Members of the public are encouraged to stop by to pay their respects, while observing social distancing guidelines.
