The City of Ann Arbor is encouraging residents to become more environmentally friendly during the pandemic.
Missy Stults is the sustainability and innovations manager for the City of Ann Arbor and says residents can use the extra time they spend at home to identify ways to reduce their energy and water consumption. She says the first step is to get everyone in your household to agree to a plan, and then to start off with simple actions.
Missy Stults: Putting devices on power strips and then turning those power strips off when you’re done. So, you don’t have to think of about unplugging lots of appliances. Just flip that switch, and you’ve got six or seven already controlled. Unplugging appliances. Taking shorter showers.
