Not All Churches In Washtenaw County Are Ready To Reopen Their Doors

Some churches in Washtenaw County are not rushing to reopen their doors after the stay-at-home executive order was lifted.  


The Vineyard Church of Ann Arborsays they will continue offering virtual worship service on Sundays until further notice.  Pastor Marissa Jadrich Ortiz says that while they want operations to go back to normal, the safety of their parishioners is their main priority.

Pastor Marissa Jadrich Ortiz: So we’re starting to ask our community what it would look like for them to feel safe and comfortable worshiping together. Whether that involves everyone wearing masks or a certain amount of distance between people?

Pastor Jadrich Ortiz says other churches in Washtenaw County that Vineyard Church has been in contact with have a similar plan.
