Ypsilanti Township Civic Center Will Have Limited In-Person Service Available On Election Day

Ypsilanti Township

The Civic Center building in Ypsilanti Township will only be open for election purposes next Tuesday.

Ypsilanti Township Supervisor Brenda Stumbo says other township business, like paying property taxes and building permit transactions, will need to be done over the phone or online that day.  Stumbo says the goal is to keep voters safe from COVID-19 when they show up in-person to vote for the primary election.

Supervisor Brenda Stumbo: We just wanted to make sure that we were able to accommodate the election voters so that they can maintain a distance and be safe in the building.

Residents can use a permanent dropbox located outside the Civic Center to turn in any necessary paperwork to the township.  A dropbox located inside the building can also be used to return absentee ballots.
